Dual Frequency Output Feature

For IS02 Programmable Microcurrent StimulatorTM

What is this Dual Frequency Output (DFO) feature?

The Dual Frequency Output feature enables each output channel to be configured to output two frequencies.

The following photos demonstrate the equivalent usages to get two frequencies with one pair of electrodes (on the alligator clips, not shown).

Without DFO Feature

With DFO Feature

Conventionally, each output channel only outputs one frequency, F1 on channel 1(CH1) and F2 on channel 2(CH2). People usually pairs the two frequencies together by combining the two output channels through external wire leads or electrode pads. With this Dual Frequency Output feature, CH1 can output two frequencies (F1+F2) without using external wire leads. The combined F1 and F2 can be connected for treatment through only one set of wire lead from one of the Separated Ports (CH1 or CH2 port) on the PRO models, achieving the same output waveforms as you get with two sets of wire leads.

Both CH1 and CH2 can output F1+F2 so it’s made possible to use one IS02 machine to treat two locations, for example, on left and right legs respectively at the same time to save the treatment time.

What can be set for each output channel?

Each channel can be configured to output only one frequency, two frequencies, or turned off.

CH1 can be set to output: F1, F1+F2, or OFF

CH2 can be set to output: F2, F1+F2, or OFF

The output channel that is not in use can be turned OFF to save battery power and avoid connection alert.

How to use this feature?

Change to use the separated ports on the rear panel, enable this feature through settings, connect the electrode with only one set of the wire lead. Do not combine the wire leads together when using this feature.

How to enable this feature?

This feature can be enabled globally for all protocols or be enabled at runtime without stopping the running protocol.

                  Runtime Setting

The output configuration can be set when running a protocol. Use Down key to see the additional settings on the 2nd screen, Enter key to move the cursor to the CH1 or CH2 settings, use Up and Down key to change the setting, Enter again to finish. This setting take effect immediately without stopping the protocol.

                  Global Setting

The global setting for the channel output will be used for all protocols, manual mode and real time mode.

Go to Main Menu -> Settings, change setting 5 for CH1 and setting 6 for CH2.
